Understanding a Decent Crossdresser: A Personal Journey and Perspective
When I began crossdressing in high school, it was a phase that was not taken lightly or seriously. At the time, it was as simple as wearing pantyhose, a formal and delicate piece of clothing that marked the beginning of a personal journey of self-acceptance and exploration.
Looking back, I recognize that the negative stigma and inner voices were powerful barriers to authentic expression. For years, I lived in a balancing act between dressing and not dressing, trying to navigate the expectations and judgments of the world around me. It was a difficult and often isolating experience.
It wasn't until I renounced my religion a few years ago and became an atheist, and later "forced" into retirement, that I began to embrace and openly accept my identity as a crossdresser. Now, I live 24/7 in the female attire that society deems appropriate, but it is far from passing. I don't imitate the feminine form; I simply wear what is societal and accepted as feminine. From tops, skirts, dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, and slacks to lipstick and well-groomed nails, I aim for a subtle and natural look.
Despite occasional suspicious glances, I have found support in local online and in-person groups where my presence is neither questioned nor criticized. In fact, I have even received compliments, such as one participant's comment on my nail polish during a recent meeting. This newfound acceptance and self-acceptance have brought me a level of happiness and satisfaction that I have never experienced before.
I am committed to improving my makeup and fashion choices, but for now, I am content wearing my clothes and accessories because they make me feel confident and beautiful. My goal is to blend in, not stand out, and to simply enjoy the freedom of self-expression.
When people ask what a "decent crossdresser" looks like, it's important to understand that there isn't one ideal or perfect appearance. A decent crossdresser may not look like a circus clown or Beaver's mom. Instead, they strive for a sophisticated and natural look that suits their personal identity.
Regarding sexual behaviors, I believe that everyone is entitled to privacy when it comes to personal matters in bed. As a responsible and compassionate individual, I respect the choices others make and focus on my own path of authenticity and happiness.
Ultimately, what matters is that a decent crossdresser wants to fit in and not be noticed, while still feeling secure and confident. They accessorize with simple choices like purses, hats, jewelry, and shoes to complete their look. The key is in feeling comfortable and happy in their own skin, without the desire to revert to a life as the gender they were assigned at birth.
