Personal Experience
I went to Maa Vaishno Devi Bhawan with my husband on February 25th, 2023. Our journey began from Banganga at 5 AM. After reaching Charan Paduka, we took a horse or mule, which took about an hour. By 6:30 AM, we were at Ardhkuwari. The temple opens at 7 AM, and we had darshan and took a battery car to the Bhawan. The battery car ride took around 20 minutes. From the battery car station to the temple is approximately 1 kilometer. We had to queue outside, but the pilgrims' chanting added to the electrifying atmosphere. Our darshan was very good, and we were out by 11 AM.
We then headed to Bhairon Temple for further darshan. We were in queue for the Agori Mata cable car, which it took about an hour, and by 2:30 PM, we completed the darshan at Bhairon Temple. We started walking back to Kathra, where we reached at 6:30 PM, with stops at Ardhkuwari for refreshments and small breaks in between. There are several options for meals in Kathra, including Sagar Ratna Hotel which offers good food.
